The New President of the United States

Aaron and I stayed up late last night to see the results for who would be our new President of the United States. We were not surprised when we learned it would be Barack Obama. I dreamt about it all night last night and woke up this morning feeling gratitude to live in a time to see such a historical event take place. I didn't vote for Barack nor do I agree with his morals and policies, but I am hopeful that he'll do the right things for this country. I just feel so blessed to live in this wonderful country and to live to see such times. As for Obama, I hope and pray that he'll be a president that spends much time on his knees looking for guidance from a loving Heavenly Father to lead this nation into prosperity and not more despair.

What a sweet and thoughtful post! Hello my friend, I finally found your wonderful blog! What a beautiful family you have! It is so exciting to see your little man! We have often thought about you all and hoped that you were happy in that cute little home. Also, thank you for your kind words on my blog! I am not sure how deserving we are of them, but you made my day! I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you, and that we missed your good husband. We would have loved to see him. Congratulations on the new home and new job, I pray that all will go wonderful for you both. After we meet you I was so impressed with your kindness and sweet positive attitudes! I was so sad to have meet you and then to have to leave the state! Your little ones have been greatly blessed to have you as their mama! I am so glad that you found our blog! If it is O.K. I would love to keep in touch with you. Do you mind if I add you to my blog Friends list? I have been so inspired by your tender posts and positive spirit. Thank you for sharing such tender thoughts! Have a great day my friend, and thank you again for the comments!

Well said. Can you believe all the hype that the Mormons are getting because of proposition 8. Crazy times we live in.

Ok, THAT is just what I needed. I had been really struggling with accepting the whole thing. I know of his stance on abortion and infanticide, and it bothered me REALLY bad. REALLY bad!

You set a good example for me. This isn't what I wanted, but now it is time for us to pray for him and the choices he makes reguarding our country. Then follow Article of Faith #12! :)

Thanks Melissa! I promise to be better about it.
